What we do

Custom Software Development

Software designed around your workflow, where off-the-shelf packages fall short.

What we do

Software that fits your business, not the other way round

Off-the-shelf software is designed for an average business. The moment your business differs from that average, you either bend your processes to fit the software or fill the gaps with spreadsheets and manual tracking. Custom software exists to close that gap.

At Pixron® we start by listening to your workflow on site: who enters which data and when, which step repeats, where errors appear. From that analysis we design web-based software that is accessible from any device and talks to your existing systems.

We deliver in stages; the module that saves the most time goes live first. That way you start seeing a return without waiting for the end of the project.

Why custom software instead of a packaged product?

Custom software is not always the right answer. If several of these signs apply, it deserves serious thought.

The same data is entered in more than one place

If an order goes into one system, the invoice into another and stock into a spreadsheet, you lose time and decide on inconsistent data. Custom software keeps the data in one place.

You are bending a packaged program to fit

If you pay for hundreds of features you do not use and cannot find the two screens you actually need, you are working for the package.

Per-user licence costs keep growing

Subscription fees that rise as the team grows exceed the cost of custom software within a few years. Custom software has no user limit and no annual licence.

Your systems do not talk to each other

If accounting, e-commerce, shipping and CRM are separate islands, a custom integration layer connects them and ends manual transfer.

Your competitive edge lies in your process

If what sets you apart is how you do the work, squeezing that into a package everyone uses erases the advantage.

Reports take days

If a management report means collecting data from several sources, a custom dashboard reduces that to seconds.

What do we build?

Most of our projects fall under one of these three headings or a combination of them.

Management and operations panels

Web-based systems that run daily operations such as orders, production, stock, service, appointments or project tracking.

Integration and automation

Services that connect different software and automate data transfer and repetitive tasks.

Customer and dealer portals

Private portals where your customers or dealers place orders, track status and download documents.

What is included in a custom software project?

Working software is not enough; it must be secure, maintainable and transferable.

Business analysis and documentation

A map of the current process, a list of requirements and an approved scope document that development follows.

Web-based, accessible from any device

An interface that needs no installation and works on computers, tablets and phones.

Role and permission management

Detailed authorisation so each user sees only the screens and data relevant to their work.

Integration with existing systems

Connections to accounting, e-invoicing, payment, shipping and third-party services through APIs.

Backup and security

Regular backups, encrypted communication, audit logs and security updates.

Training and handover

User training, an administrator guide and delivery of the source code to you.

Custom software development process

Uncertainty is the biggest cost in software projects, so every step moves forward with a written scope.

  1. Analysis

We study your workflow, user roles and existing systems and rank the requirements.

  2. Scope and planning

We present a scope document covering modules, screens and the delivery schedule for approval.

  3. Design

We draft the screens, review them with users and finalise the interface.

  4. Staged development

We build the modules in order and open each one for you to try in a test environment.

  5. Go-live

We migrate the data, train the users and stay with you during the switch to live use.

  6. Maintenance and improvement

We provide regular support for bug fixes, security updates and new needs.

Is custom software more expensive than a packaged product?

The initial investment is usually higher, but you pay no per-user licences or annual subscriptions. Looking at total cost over several years and the time saved, custom software is often more economical.

How long does a project take?

A single-module system is completed in a few weeks, a multi-module operations system in a few months. Staged delivery means you start using the first module before the project ends.

Who keeps the source code?

You do. When the project is complete the source code and documentation are handed over; nothing stops you continuing with another team.

Will it integrate with our existing programs?

Most accounting, e-invoicing, payment and shipping systems offer APIs and integration is possible. For systems without an API we consider alternatives such as file transfer.

What happens after delivery?

Under a maintenance agreement we take on bug fixes, security updates and small improvements. Requests for new modules are scoped separately.
